Modern Pentecostal Church
Modern Pentecostal/charismatic evangelical political identity centers abortion, traditional marriage, school prayer and Ten Commandments displays, Christian-focused religious liberty, school choice, Second Amendment, and secure borders. Paxton hits nearly every plank: fertilization-onward fetal personhood, Ten Commandments mandates, school prayer, vouchers including for religious schools, gun-rights maximalism, hard-line immigration, anti-transgender positioning — the Pentecostal-aligned political movement is one of the few graders where Paxton outscores Cornyn. He loses one point because traditional evangelical theology still treats adultery and abuse of office as disqualifying for leaders. Cornyn hits most planks (NRLC 100% lifetime, religious liberty record, school choice support, secure borders) but his Respect for Marriage Act vote and BSCA gun-safety negotiation put real distance between him and the most aggressive Pentecostal-aligned political movement — exactly the votes Paxton has used to attack Cornyn from the right.
